Institutionalizing Quality Declared Seed in Uganda

Farmer-led seed enterprises can produce good quality and market it. However, for them to thrive, they need a conducive policy regulatory framework that is inclusive less stringent than existing frameworks. One way provide more enabling environment farmer-led through the Quality Declared Seed (QDS) production marketing system. In Uganda, this class specifically introduced assured of crops varieties not served by private sector. The anchored in Ugandan National Policy its regulations operationalization plan.
